Software engineering has always been a passion for me. I’ve been coding since I was twelve and I’ve enjoyed it ever since. I believe that you should always do what you love and there’s always a way to make money from it.

Firstly, I want to become a software engineer because it is something that I enjoy. The process of finding a solution to a problem or creating a tool to make a task easier is always satisfying. Also, I feel that I have a skill in being able to logically think through problems and really break them down into smaller tasks, making it easier for me to write software. Basically, I figure if I was blessed with the skill sets, and I enjoy doing it, why not pursue it as a career?

I’d like to attend Holberton because I feel that it will prepare me for the software engineering work environment; the projects are self-led; and the structure for learning teaches me how to learn, not just to program. I believe Holberton is the perfect school to prepare me for real-life software engineering jobs.
